The Medical Assistant (MA) Apprenticeship Program is a hands-on, 6-month program starting on January 19th, 2026, that prepares students to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant test (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association. The program includes online learning and on-site labs at your local Community College.
We want to financially contribute to your success in this program and we will pay $2,500 of your tuition! During your time in this MA position and program, we will pay you an hourly rate as you gain the necessary skills to pass the certification exam. Once certified, you will have a seamless transition to a fulltime certified role with us at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region.

While you are working as a Medical Assistant Apprentice, you will be based at local Westminster locations/clinics, that report up to St. Thomas More Hospital:
Pay Structure: The pay for this position is $18.00/hour with an incremental increase to $18.50 after 3 months and a final pay of $21.25 upon certification.
Medical Assistant Apprentice Requirements:
Physical Requirements- Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
