Provide leadership, supposrt and coordination to Critical Care Tech staff. 

• May participate in the interviewing and selection process.Responsible for orienting, training and mentoring staff and students. Able to perform, demonstrate and train staff on processes, procedures and equipment.
• Provides feedback and recommendations regarding staff performance.
• Assists in directing, organizing and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met. Assures effective daily operation of the team.
• May conduct audits regarding documentation and assist with data collection.Problem solves immediate issues that may negatively impact patient care.
• Assists leadership in identifying, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives.
• Performs a variety of technical tasks (i.e. IV insertion, splinting, wound care, etc.) as directed by the RN or physician according to established clinic policies, procedures and standards to provide quality patient care within hospital and/or department guidelines.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a
collaborative fashion with other team members. Assists care team in achieving daily patient and family goals.
• Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient/family observations in an ongoingfashion to assist in the treatment of patients. Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

 

 

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Two years of expeirnce as a Critical Care Tech/EMT  healthcare experience (pre-hospital, ED and/or patient care) 
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current Colorado Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or A-EMT or EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic license required
  • IV certification required upon hire

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Pay Range

$19.05 - $30.29 / hour
