Job description:

  • Plans, schedules and supervises security efforts for patients, associates and visitors; protects hospital
    buildings, assets, and premises as assigned.
  • Plans, schedules and supervises drills associated with security response and reports on same.
  • Responsible for Environment of care Chapter 2 Security as required by Joint Commission.
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of Hospital-wide safety programs as well as the safety and training programs for Corporate and outlying locations.
  • In addition, this position is responsible for the management of the Security function.

 

Schedule: 

Two days as a security officer at HCW, 2 days as a security officer at HCJ, and 1 day administrative hours. Officer shifts will be 0700-1500, administrative hours will be flexible.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • HS Diploma or GED, required. 
  • Current driver’s license issued by the state wherein the
    position is posted with satisfactory DMV report on file or the
    ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire if facility requires
    the position to operate a motor vehicle; (2) current state
    issued guard card/license, showing no disciplinary actions,
    in states where required;
  • CPR & BLS Certification within 90 days of employment
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a security officer
    involving extensive public contact and/or law enforcement
    and military security experience or related fields in a
    leadership capacity.
  • Ability to create presentations and reports using slides, tables, and charts.
  • Associates degree in criminal justice, preferred. 
  • Bachelors degree in criminal justice, preferred.

$24.26 - $37.69 / hour
