Provides oversight and leadership in collaboration with Director (employee development, quality and process improvement, scheduling, HRO accountability, protocol development, and other tasks) in the
Communications and Transfer Center. Maintains databases and provides reporting for Ambulatory,
regulatory agencies, and hospital leaders. Provides direct supervision of Transfer Coordinators and
Communication Specialists to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures. Facilitates goals and
provides leadership role in day-to-day operations.
Maintains competencies in Transfer and Communications Center roles and assists with staffing.
Builds and maintains positive working relationships with IT, Unified Communications teams, and other
stakeholders to ensure all technical equipment has timely support, redundancy, and call storage for
risk/legal management.
Works to improve the provider experience in the referral, transfer, and transport request process.
Facilitates positive working relationships between the elements of the Transfer and Communications
Center. Identifies opportunities for shared resources, joint training, and collaboration.
Identifies software to improve efficiencies and streamline operations.
