Provides oversight and leadership in collaboration with Director (employee development, quality and process improvement, scheduling, HRO accountability, protocol development, and other tasks) in the
Communications and Transfer Center. Maintains databases and provides reporting for Ambulatory,
regulatory agencies, and hospital leaders. Provides direct supervision of Transfer Coordinators and
Communication Specialists to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures. Facilitates goals and
provides leadership role in day-to-day operations.


Maintains competencies in Transfer and Communications Center roles and assists with staffing.
Builds and maintains positive working relationships with IT, Unified Communications teams, and other
stakeholders to ensure all technical equipment has timely support, redundancy, and call storage for
risk/legal management.

 

Works to improve the provider experience in the referral, transfer, and transport request process.
Facilitates positive working relationships between the elements of the Transfer and Communications
Center. Identifies opportunities for shared resources, joint training, and collaboration.
Identifies software to improve efficiencies and streamline operations.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • High School Diploma/GED, required
  • Bachelor Degree, required or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor Degree
  • 3 years' dispatch or call center or related experience, required.
  • 3 years' supervisor or management experience, required.
  • College Degree, required.
  • Executive presence to work directly with executives, boards, physicians, senior leadership, other
    providers and managers. Knowledge of medical terminology, or healthcare industry.
  • Experience in EMS-related field or dispatching preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology.

Pay Range

$35.85 - $55.68 / hour
