A front-line leadership position responsible for technical operations management of the clinical laboratory. Provides oversight of clinical laboratory technical and preanalytic processes. Ensures laboratory follows established policies, procedures, and processes, and complies with regulatory requirements (eg, CLIA, CAP, TJC, and OSHA).

 

These leaders provide a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to testing and clinical relevance. Performs general clinical laboratory testing as needed. Serves as a laboratory liaison with other laboratory departments and hospital services. Functions in a self-directed manner, and exhibits effective communication and advanced problem solving skills.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical laboratory, chemical or biological science, required
  • 2 years MLS/MT or MLT work experience in the clinical laboratory required.
  • MLS with ASCP certification, or MT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty ASCP certification in the assigned department required.

Schedule: M-F 0800-1630 with some variability to cover open shifts as needed

 

Light Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently

$34.56 - $50.14 / hour
