The Financial Analyst Senior coordinates the input and ensure the accuracy of data collected from manual and automated processes
into the financial reporting system. Facilitates the accurate and timely dissemination of financial data from the financial system to comply with facility and corporate requests.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of general, cost and healthcare accounting principles and
    terminology, knowledge of trends, variances and forecast modeling.
  • Practices general accounting principles and cost accounting concepts and principles correctly,
    ethically and knowledgeable.
  • Applies appropriate principles/concepts in trending of financial data and statistical information,
    ensuring consistency in data elements.
  • Calculates, presents, educates and seeks explanation on material variances within financial and
    statistical reporting analysis.
  • Applies and can support logical and sound principles and assumptions in the development of
  • forecasting, proformas and analysis. Operates queries, audits and maintains Decision Support or other related systems and has an indepth working knowledge of accounting systems.
  • Researches and analyzes financial information from the source financial systems and utilizing program reports or custom reporting and queries. Accumulates data in a logical format and according to project goals and objectives to provide the desired information results and reports.
  • Processes data monthly including adding new data elements as necessary, building structure and auditing information at each level of processing. Trouble shoots and researches data problems and system issues related to processing, extracts and system upgrades.
  • Participates and processes data in annual RVU standards and budgeting process.
  • Extracts, builds and maintains databases and graphs to support projects, analysis and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Bachelors in Accounting or related field, required
  • Four years experience in an analytical position or successful completion of a sponsor sanctioned fellowship/internship program.
  • Two years healthcare experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
