Overview

  • Responsible for assisting the physician in the clinic and operative setting (works independently and when required under the direct supervision of a physician) and coordination of all clinical care given to patients.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures such as wound care, crutch and gait training and provides patient instruction on exercise.
  • Works closely with the clinic team for optimal patient care.
  • Greet and educate patients on the anatomical aspects of their visit.
  • Perform telephone and general office duties, including
    scheduling appointments for diagnostic examinations and physical therapy according to physician’s orders.

 

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified Athletic Trainer candidates will need the following:

 

  • 3 years related experience including experience evaluating and assessing patient injury required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel and work irregular hours.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population including but not limited to, athletes, coaches, administrative staff, physicians, volunteers and other medical personnel.
  • Relevant job setting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Certified Orthopedic Technologist (OTC)  Required
  • Board Certified Athletic Trainer Certification Required
  • Successful completion of a SMA Residency or equivalent program Required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association Required within 90 days of hire
  • Valid Driver's License Required
  • Licensed in the state of Colorado Required
  • Bachelor Degree Required
  • Master's degree in Allied Health Required

 

Physical Requirements
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly 

 

This is a new day role for a surgical AT that offers full benefits in our new clinic that is opening in sports medicine/ orthopedics practice.  We prefer AT's with prior experience in sports medicine/ orthopedics who have worked with professional athletes.

$24.97 - $39.97 / hour
