Assures the delivery of quality pharmacy services by providing process and workflow oversight of pharmacy technicians and by serving as part of the Pharmacy Leadership Team. Provides support of all pharmacy automation systems and support for inventory procurement and management. Serves as backup support for medication billing issues and resolution. Provides direction and guidance to technicians regarding pharmacy drug distribution and operational matters, including USP795, USP797, USP800 compliance. Supports the Pharmacy Leadership Team by assisting with departmental IT and
software support including Epic reporting, Diversion software, and pump software. Serves as a liaison between pharmacy and external departments; working closely with front line staff, physicians, managers, and directors to coordinate pharmacy services in various areas. Monthly responsibilities include hazardous waste reporting and State BOP reporting (tech-check-tech). In addition, covers regular assignments as a pharmacy technician when needed.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.Required
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech Required
  • 5 years hospital pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills.
  • Able to prioritize and escalate issues to pharmacy leadership or other
    decision-makers as necessary.
  • Strong customer service skills and organizational skills with the ability to
    manage multiple duties and adapt quickly to constantly changing situations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify issues in advance and problem-solve to minimize impact on other individuals or services.
  • Demonstrates qualities of assertiveness, a high sense of urgency, and initiative. On-call coverage (after business hours and weekends) is required on an as-needed basis.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30-4? (potential coverage of other shifts/times when needed)

 

Physical Requirements:
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly

$24.85 - $41.86 / hour
