The day to day activities will involve working 8 hour days, it will be exempt. This position will have an office space, there is a lot of auditing involved, and they meet with quality department. They will help role out new patient safety initiatives to the entire nursing staff. Heavy concentration with the events, root cause analysis with the QA department. 

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years as a clinician in high risk OB hospital setting
  • Minimum of 1 years of project experience in Women and Infants Perinatal Safety with 2 years preferred
  • Experience with quality improvement, process improvement techniques, project and program management experience required
  • Current RN license
  • Certification in one of the following (must obtain within 6 months):
    CCRN-NEO, C-EFM, RN-BC MCN, RN-BC-PERI, RNC [OB, GYN,
    NEONATAL], RNC-LRN, RNC-MNN, RNC-NIC, RNC-OB, C-EFM, C ONQS
  • BLS
  • NRP within 90 days
  • Driver's license strongly preferred

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

The Labor and Delivery department at St. Francis Hospital, an established Magnet® hospital, is a unit with ten high-risk antepartum beds and 12 LDR suites, with 250 deliveries per month. We have two ORs, a three-bay PACU and a seven- bed OB Emergency Department. Our department has a mission to ensure the families of Southern Colorado have the safest care while delivering their babies. We offer self-scheduling and great teamwork. We look for candidates that have high energy, passionate for women’s care, team players, hard workers and compassionate.

 

The schedule is flexible and variable, some evening and night work required.

Pay Range

$40.77 - $73.12 / hour
