Under the direction of the assigned Manager and System Directors, coordinates and prioritizes a high
volume of diverse functions to ensure required documentation (accreditation and risk management data)
is acquired and maintained for credentialed providers, and manages elements of the provider electronic
application process to ensure provider satisfaction, as well as timeliness, appropriateness and
completeness of applications. Responsible for duties related to all essential credentialing documents which expire, including: communications/notifications with providers, interacting with third-party entities, managing the integrity of
the database, facilitating appropriate suspensions of clinical privileges when necessary, etc.
Serves as the key liaison and subject-matter-expert in supporting applicants/providers with
tasks/challenges/inquiries as it relates to the utilization and access to the online provider application
process. Ensures the comprehensive system credentialing and provider databases are maintained and utilized
effectively.
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Minimum Experience Requirements
Three years of experience in medical staff governance, credentialing, medical education or related health
care setting. Working knowledge of state licensing boards, The Joint Commission, CMS, and Departments of Health
standards. Successful experience with previous accreditation surveys.
Proven leadership skills: ability to develop and sustain trusting work relationships, ability to educate and
motivate team members, ability to communicate effectively with various levels of professionals, ability to
self-regulate and meet deadlines, ability to use critical thinking and strategic approaches in problemsolving,
etc. Proven abilities in arbitrating and negotiating issues between physicians and Medical Staff
leaders/hospital departments. Demonstrated computer and database management skills, with previous experience utilizing credentialing software preferred.
License/Certifications Requirements
CPMSM or CPCS from NAMSS, preferred
