At St. Anthony North Hospital, one of our proud Magnet® designated hospitals, the department 3 North is a Cardiac/Medical unit. The unit has 18 beds with an average daily census of 12-16 patients. We see patients with chest pain, STEMI, NSTEMI, congestive heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias – in addition to a variety of other medical conditions. This unit can take non-titratable cardiac drips. 3N typically takes most patients being admitted from the Cath lab after procedures such as cardiac or peripheral stent placement, pacemaker placement and cardioversions. Our unit is huge on teamwork and collaboration. Our department offers many opportunities to grow and learn due to our growing cardiac service line and variety of nursing experience given by the patient population. This unit has a good mixture of experience RN’s along with newer nurses. Ideally candidates interested in joining our team are self-motivated, team oriented and quick thinkers.
