As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:
**Previous Pre Op PACU, GI, ICU, exp preferred**
Schedule: 36hrs/ week-variable per volume and unit needs
Scheduling details:
Managers make the schedule (no self-scheduling, no set days, no set shifts)
Cases/day (average): 20-30 cases/day; add on patients in the afternoon.
We have a variable schedule (no self-scheduling). Cases are scheduled Monday-Friday 0730-1930. Nights, weekends, and holidays are call shifts for urgent/emergent cases.Call is in addition to regularly scheduled hours. We try to work with staff, but will meet the needs of the department to cover. ALL shifts are subject to change depending on department volume, staffing, and need. The 0600 shifts float the most. Our staff will do either PACU or GI Call depending on skill set.
Call requirements: Two RNs are on-call in the PACU.
Call requirements will change based on procedural volume and staff.
Weeknight: One 12 hour call shift per week, Sunday - Thursday from 1930-0730
Holidays: Two holidays a year from 0700-0700 (18-24hrs depending on staffing)
Weekends: Two 12.5 hour shifts every 6th - 9th weekend depending on staffing
Saturday and Sunday day shift: 0700-1930 or
Friday and Saturday night shift: 1900-0730
We average about 6 call shifts on a 6-week schedule and try to schedule staff off the next day.

Built on the pillars of convenience, wellness and person-centered care, we offer inpatient and outpatient care at one site, with an emphasis on preventive health, wellness and health education.
The surgery department at St. Anthony North Health Campus Hospital consists of 8 OR rooms, 1 cysto room, 1 minor procedure room, a GI room, and a room for pain management. We are an ortho heavy department - fracture management, total hips, knees, and shoulders, and the ortho service continues to grow. We also perform general, ENT, GYN, urology, spine and plastics. The patient mix is comprised mainly of adult surgical patients. Patient care is provided for adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patients. Our mission is to provide safe care to the surgical patient. This is a desirable department because we have an amazing culture of caring individuals who are fun to work with and will treat you like family.
