The Clinical Nursing Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). The role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. The Clinical Nursing Manager role demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement.
This Operating Room Nurse Manager position consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. The Clinical Nursing Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.

The Surgery department at Mercy Hospital in Durango Colorado is a Level III operating room that treats spine, ortho, ENT, GYN patients, a few eye surgeries, some dental, plastics and a mix of general surgical procedures. We have seven ORs with two dedicated to outpatient cases and are strictly surgical for patients one-year-old and above.
We are a close team of individuals working together to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. e provide care to the Four Corners region and see patients from all over, including occasional trauma. Our department is service oriented, and we care for one another so we all can have a great quality of life and a safe work environment. To be part of this team, individuals must have strong OR skills, be honest, punctual, reliable and have a sense that every day they put their best foot forward for their community and patients.
